Today was an eventful day for the team. We woke up at the crack of dawn this morning and met at the factory of Homeway Homes were our house is currently being manufactured. Homeway Homes are very will set-up to construct our compact home. They are currently working on the core of our solar decathlon house. We got to walk through the framing and for the first time, and get an actual sense of the space that we have been imagining all semester. During the next several weeks we will continue to prepare for the arrival of the shell of the house so that we can efficiently finish the project. I personally plan to continue with the cost estimation side of the project in hope to finish the quantity take offs by April 24th leaving 2-3 weeks to estimate the labor and other factors using the RS means manual.
